(a) City Expense. All persons sentenced to or confined in the City Jail shall be furnished food and be sustained as provided by law at the expense of the City.
(b) Certification of Costs. All costs and expenses incurred pursuant to this section shall be certified by the Police Chief to the Public Safety Director, who shall examine such and, upon approval, certify the same for payment by the Finance Director.
