No operator or driver of a taxicab, having a passenger in his or her taxicab, shall solicit or accept for carriage any other passenger without the consent of the original passenger. If two or more passengers are transported to different destinations, the taximeter shall be reset at the end of each trip. If two or more passengers are transported to the same destination, the fare is collectible in accordance with Section 864.08.
