No person shall maintain or operate a junk or salvaged material yard or shop without first having obtained a license therefor from the Mayor. Application for such a license shall be made to the Mayor upon such blanks as shall be prescribed by him or her. In making the application, the applicant shall state his or her name, whether he or she is an individual, firm or corporation, the location at which such business is to be conducted or maintained, the size and manner of building to be used, the exact size and location of the area to be used for the aforementioned operations, and any other information that may be requested by the Mayor.
