SECTION 10.305.  EXEMPTIONS FROM PROVISIONS.
   This Chapter, with the exception of Section 10.501, shall not apply to, and no building permit need be issued for:
   A.   The removal of legal nonconforming signs, except with respect to regulations governing their removal.
   B.   Political signs, provided there is adherence to the bulk regulations set forth in the Zoning Ordinance.
   C.   Temporary decorations or displays when such are clearly incidental to and are customarily and commonly associated with any national, local or religious holiday or celebration.
   D.   Temporary signs or permanent signs erected by public utility companies or construction companies to warn of danger or hazardous conditions, including signs indicating the presence of underground cables, gas lines, and similar devices as well as traffic or other Village signs, legal notices, railroad crossing signs, danger and emergency temporary signs, any other non-advertising signs as may be approved by the President and Board of Trustees are also exempted.
   E.   All official traffic signs and warning signs, when erected or required to be erected by a governmental agency, and temporary signs indicating danger.
