SECTION 10.203.  DISCONTINUANCE OF PROHIBITED SIGNS.
   Any nonconforming sign which is listed in Section 10.501 as a 'prohibited' sign shall be removed within sixty (60) days after the adoption hereof.
   A.   In the case of any sign which is determined by the Director of Building and Zoning to be unsafe or which has been constructed and erected or maintained in violation of the provisions of this Chapter, the Building Administrator shall give written notice to such person having ownership and/or control of such sign to remove same or cause same to be removed as set forth above.
   B.   The Director of Building and Zoning shall serve said notice of violation upon such person, which notice shall require the removal of said sign within ten (10) days of the date of such notice and which shall notify such person that, in the event of such person's failure to remove or cause the removal of such sign, the Village will undertake to remove or cause the removal of such sign; with the understanding that in such event, such person shall promptly reimburse the Village for its costs of removal.
   C.   In the event such person disagrees with the judgment and/or interpretation of the Director of Building and Zoning or disagrees with the content of the notice, such person may appeal receipt of such notice in the manner set forth in the Zoning Ordinance of the Village for such appeals. Such appeal shall stay the removal of the sign until final determination by the Village of the issues raised on appeal.
