SECTION 9.602.  GENERAL PROVISIONS.
   A.   Permits.
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to alter, to install any warm air heating furnaces, air conditioning systems or appurtenances thereto, within the Village without first being licensed as provided by ordinance and obtaining a permit for each such alteration or installation.
      2.   A permit to alter or install heating or air conditioning systems shall be obtained prior to starting work.
      3.   No permit is required for minor repair work performed by licensed contractors. Minor repair work shall be interpreted as the incidental repairs to furnaces or air conditioner systems which shall not affect the general action of the system, such as renewal of grates or smoke pipes, replacing old furnaces in the same location, replacing of single warm air pipe or general cleaning of the system.
      4.   Installing additional runs shall not be considered minor repairs.
   B.   Inspections and Fees.
      1.   Additional Fees. An additional fee for each twenty-four (24) hour period, to reimburse the Village for additional expense incurred, may be added to the permit fee for any work that has proceeded without first securing a permit in accordance with the most recent fee schedule approved by the President and Board of Trustees.
      2.   A reinspection fee, in accordance with the most recent fee schedule approved by the President and Board of Trustees and on file in the Office of the Village Clerk and the Building Administrator, shall be charged on any ventilating and air conditioning which makes it necessary for the Inspector to make more than two inspections of the work.
