SECTION 9.504. SEWAGE AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL.
   A.   The owner of a structure on a lot in the Village who requires sanitary sewage service shall, at his own expense, construct and maintain a Private Sanitary Sewage Septic System meeting the applicable regulations of the County of Lake and applicable ordinances of the Village, unless the Village has authorized and constructed a Public Sanitary Sewer to provide service to the lot. If a Private Sanitary Sewage Septic System should fail, and cannot be replaced, an expansion system as regulated by this Municipal Code shall be constructed, or if such construction is impossible, an experimental system approved by the Lake County Health Department and the Village shall be constructed.
   B.   Plans and specifications for such private sanitary sewer and sanitary sewage septic system must be drawn by a registered professional engineer licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and licensed as a "designer" by the County of Lake. The plans and specifications must conform to the regulations contained in Chapter 8 as well as all other applicable ordinances of the Village and shall be submitted to the County of Lake and the Village Engineer for review. In the event either the County of Lake or the Village Engineer disapproves of such plans and specifications, no Building Permit shall be issued until such plans and specifications have been revised to the satisfaction of both the County of Lake and the Village Engineer. In no event shall the Building Administrator of the Village issue an occupancy permit until the private sanitary sewer and sanitary sewage septic system has been inspected, tested, and approved by the Health Officer of the County of Lake and the Village Engineer.
