The 2012 International Residential Code, International Code Council 2012 Edition, adopted in Section 9.301 of this Building Code, is amended hereby in the following respects.
1. Table N-1102.1 Climate Zone 14, contained in Chapter 11, shall be amended as follows:
Ceilings: R-38
Walls: R-15
*Basement Walls: R-11
*All other insulation requirements remain in effect.
2. Section 1102.1.5 shall be amended as follows:
Basement walls shall be insulated in accordance with Table N1102.1.
3. Table R703.4, "Weather-Resistant Siding Attachment and Minimum Thickness", is amended hereby to remove the following siding material therefrom: (a) hardboard panel-vertical; (b) hardboard lap-horizontal; (c) steel; (d) particle board panels; (e) plywood panel; and (f) vinyl.
