This Building Code shall regulate all matters concerning the construction, alteration, additions, repair, removal, demolition, occupancy and maintenance of all buildings and structures, and shall apply to existing or proposed buildings and structures; except as such matters are otherwise provided for in other ordinances, or in the rules and regulations authorized for promulgation under the provisions of this Building Code. The provisions of this Article shall be deemed the minimum requirements for the remodeling, repair or alteration of existing buildings or structures, and the construction of new single-family residences, offices, hotels, and all other buildings for uses allowed in the Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 15 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mettawa of 2001) and their accessory buildings.
