As used in this Article, PROTECTED PERSONNEL shall mean and include: Current and former duly appointed members of the Village of Mettawa boards and commissions, including but not limited to the Plan Commission; Planning, Zoning and Appeals Commission; the Building Code Board of Appeals and the Zoning Board of Appeals; and Village of Mettawa officials holding or who have held elected Village office and current and former Village of Mettawa appointed officials and certain independent contractors, including but not limited to: Any Village President, Trustee, Village Clerk, Village Administrator, Village Attorney, Village Engineer, Village Treasurer and the duly authorized agents thereof; and any independent contractor named as Deputy Village Treasurer, Financial Consultant, Building Official, or holding any other position in the government of the Village and the duly authorized agents thereof - whether such persons are employees of the Village, independent contractors, or employees of independent contractors.
