SECTION 1.301.  APPOINTED OFFICERS - GENERAL.
   A.   The President, by and with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, may appoint such officers and personnel as set forth in this Article as may be necessary to carry into effect the powers generally conferred upon villages by law.
   B.   Any officer of the Village of Mettawa may resign from office.  Except in the case of resignation, any officer shall continue in office until a successor has been chosen and has qualified.  If there is a failure to appoint a Village officer or the person appointed fails to qualify, the person filling the office shall continue in office until a successor has been chosen and has qualified.
   C.   The provisions of this Chapter shall be deemed separable and the invalidity of any portion of this Chapter shall not affect the validity of the remainder.
