(A)   Pursuant to law, eligible employees of the city are entitled, under certain circumstances, to up to 12 work weeks of unpaid leave during any 12-month period. The city hereby adopts a Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
   (B)   Relationship of FMLA to other leaves of absence. FMLA leave shall run concurrent with leave granted pursuant to a work related injury o a work related illness under the Illinois Workmen’s Compensation Act.
   (C)   Exhaustion of FMLA leave. Upon exhaustion of available FMLA leave and the failure of the affected employee to return to work, the employee (and any covered dependents) shall be dropped from the city’s health insurance coverage; unless such employee elects to continue such coverage and timely pays the full premium for such coverage.
