All Board members, officers and employees of Metra have a duty to cooperate with the OIG in any investigation undertaken pursuant to this subchapter. Failure to cooperate includes, but is not limited to, intentional omissions and knowing false statements. Failure to cooperate with an investigation pursuant to this section is grounds for disciplinary action, including termination of employment. However, nothing in this subchapter purports to limit or alter a person’s existing rights or protections under state or federal law or any collective bargaining agreement.
