§ 113.016 VIBRATION MITIGATION.
Vibration mitigation must be considered whenever the criterion is exceeded as determined by FTA’s detailed analysis. If found feasible and reasonable, mitigation measures should be installed. Significant interruption of service to install a new vibration isolation feature on the track may not be considered feasible. Installing such a treatment on new track, however, may be feasible subject to economic reasonableness.
