§ 111.081 FAMILY FARE DEMONSTRATIONS.
   (A)   The Board of Directors of the Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority (“Commuter Rail Division”) hereby approves the service and family fare demonstrations set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and specifically made a part of this section.
   (B)   The Executive Director of the Commuter Rail Division is authorized and directed to take such action as he or she deems necessary or appropriate to implement, administer and effect such service and fare demonstrations.
   (C)   Exhibit A service and fare demonstrations:
      (1)   Service demonstrations.
         (a)   C&NW West Line Saturday service: this proposal entails adding a round trip to the evening schedule on Saturday. A new outbound train is proposed at 10:40 p.m. (Chicago departure), and an inbound train is proposed to arrive Chicago at 8:10 p.m. This service is to take effect Saturday, June 1, 1985.
         (b)   NIRC/Milwaukee North Line mid-day service: this proposal would add a new train to depart Chicago at 1:30 p.m. on weekdays. This improvement will be implemented on Monday, June 3, 1985.
         (c)   NIRC/Milwaukee West Line mid-day service: this proposal would add a round trip on weekdays to narrow the three-hour gap that now exists in the mid-day period. The proposal would establish an outbound train departing Chicago at 11:00 a.m. and an inbound train arriving Chicago at 1:50p.m. This improvement will take effect on Monday, June 3, 1985.
      (2)   Fare demonstration. Weekend family fares: the current policies permitting children under seven years of age to ride free (with an adult) and students, high school age and below, to ride at one-half price during school hours, would be liberalized to effectively provide a discount to families for weekend travel. Specifically, it is proposed that on weekends children under the age of 12 be allowed free travel. Moreover, restrictions that limit student fares to travel to/from school would be eliminated on weekends. This pricing change will take effect on Thursday, July 4, 1985
