(A) Beginning Saturday, January 16, 2016, pets will be allowed on all Metra trains on days when a weekend schedule is operated.
(B) Only small pets in enclosed carriers, that can be hand-carried by the owner, will be allowed on trains. Carriers must be kept on the passenger’s lap or beneath the seat, at all times, without occupying a seat or obstructing the aisle. Pets must remain in their carriers for the entire duration of the ride.
(C) Pets should not be disruptive to other passengers due to factors such as noise, odor or aggressive behavior. Metra reserves the right to remove passengers with pets that disturb other passengers.
(D) Metra’s Executive Director is further authorized to modify or suspend the policy if it is in Metra’s best interest.
