(A) Effective July 1, 1990, smoking of cigarettes, cigars, pipes and all other smoking materials shall be prohibited in commuter coaches on all Metra trains. No smoking shall be permitted at any location in any coach of any train on any line, including seating areas, vestibules, lavatories and stairways.
(B) The Executive Director is hereby authorized and directed to take all action necessary or desirable to implement this section. Advance notice of this smoking prohibition shall be provided on all trains, including in each smoking car.
