The Board approves and directs staff to immediately undertake preparations for the acquisition of 408 cars with a minimum of 367 cars to be delivered within the next ten years to retire its oldest rolling stock, and to acquire 52 locomotives during the same ten-year period, with an option to purchase additional cars and locomotives as service requirements dictate.
