The Village of Metamora credits residents for sewer fees charged for metered outside water use on a yearly basis and the Village acquires expenses in the process, since January 1, 2022. Water used for filling pools, watering gardens or flowers, or other outside uses in which the Village of Metamora Sewer System will not be utilized, may be ran through a separate meter to allow for the recording of the amount of water used for such purposes. The additional meter shall be purchased, installed, maintained and remain the property of the property owner at no expense to the Village. The meter shall be read annually by the Village during or about the first week of October for credit. It shall be the property owner’s responsibility to inform the Village of the installation of the second meter.
