6-6-2: DEFINITIONS:
The following words and phrases when used in this chapter shall have the definitions set forth in this section. Whenever any words or phrases used in this chapter are not defined herein, but are defined in the Nevada Revised Statutes or elsewhere in this code, such definitions shall apply.
LOW SPEED VEHICLE: Any four (4) wheeled electric vehicle whose top speed is twenty (20) miles per hour or greater but not greater than twenty five (25) miles per hour. This group includes neighborhood electric vehicles and speed modified golf carts, capable of a speed of twenty (20) miles per hour but not greater than twenty five (25) miles per hour.
NEIGHBORHOOD ELECTRIC VEHICLE (NEV): An emission free motor vehicle with at least four (4) wheels in contact with the ground and is designed or modified to operate at a speed of at least twenty (20) miles per hour but not greater than twenty five (25) miles per hour and is designed to carry no more than four (4) passengers.
