A. No person shall place, maintain or display upon or in view of any street or highway any unofficial sign, signal or device or any sign, signal or device which purports to be or is an imitation of, or resembles, any official traffic sign or signal or which attempts to direct the movement of traffic or which hides from view or interferes with the effectiveness of any official traffic sign or signal.
B. No person shall place or maintain any tree, shrubbery or other obstacle which hides from view or interferes with the effectiveness of any official traffic sign or signal.
C. Every such prohibited sign, signal or device or light is declared to be a public nuisance, and the chief of police is empowered, without notice, to remove the same, or cause the same to be removed, or bring an action as provided by law to abate such nuisance. (Ord. 12, 8-16-1984)
