A. Pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes section 268.081, the city fire and rescue department shall be the primary and exclusive provider of emergency medical services treatment and transportation of the sick and injured for the city.
B. "Emergency medical service treatment and transport" is defined as any public or private agency, organization or business which provides medical care and treatment and/or transportation to the sick and/or injured via ambulance, aircraft or other such vehicle which requires the use of medically trained personnel.
C. The fire and rescue department may request mutual aid from other emergency medical service treatment and transportation providers as may be necessary for specific incidents. (Ord. 306, 2-4-2005)
