10-7-5: PENALTY:

   A.   Any person who violates the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished as follows:

      1.   For the first offense, by a fine of two hundred twenty five dollars ($225.00).

      2.   For a second offense, by a fine of five hundred dollars ($500.00).

      3.   For a third and subsequent offense, by a fine of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).

   B.   The penalty set forth in subsection A of this section shall be reduced by eighty percent (80%) if proof of sterilization of the dog or cat is produced within thirty (30) days after issuance of the citation. (Ord. 433, 1-26-2010, eff. 3-1-2010)
