10-6-6: FLOOR SPACE OF PRIMARY ENCLOSURE FOR ANIMALS:
An operator shall ensure that a primary enclosure in which each mammal that is at least six (6) weeks old is kept has a minimum amount of floor space which is calculated by finding the mathematical square of the sum of six inches (6") plus the length of the animal measured from the top of its nose to the base of its tail, and dividing that amount by one hundred forty four (144), to arrive at the minimum amount of square footage required for the floor space per animal. Floor space required for mice and rats shall be in accordance with the requirements set forth in section 10-6-5 of this chapter. (Ord. 433, 1-26-2010, eff. 3-1-2010)
