10-5-11: SHADING:
An owner of an animal shall provide shade by means of other structures, trees, or awnings, when the temperature is expected to rise above eighty five degrees Fahrenheit (85°F) to protect the animal from direct sunlight that is likely to cause overheating or discomfort. In the event of a heat advisory issued by the National Weather Service, additional mechanisms appropriate for the animal species, including but not limited to, misters, swamp coolers or air conditioning, must be provided which will allow the animal to cool down the body temperature and prevent overheating.
