No person, firm, or corporation shall permit or cause any building or structure on any premises in the City, by reason of want of repair, by reason of age, dilapidated condition, defective or poorly installed or maintained electric wiring, defective chimney, defective gas connections, defective heating apparatus, by storage of combustible materials, inventory, containers or merchandise or for any other cause or reason to become a fire hazard so as to make it susceptible to damage or to endanger any other building or structure or endanger the life of any person.
