1305.10 DEPOSITS.
   (a)    Prior to the issuance of a building permit, a permit deposit shall be posted to ensure the completion of required sidewalks and to guarantee the repair of damage to existing sidewalks in the vicinity due to construction activity, and conformance with other subsections of this section:
 
(1)    New single family houses       $1000.00
(2)    New two or three family houses    $500.00 each unit
(3)    New multi-family structures       $2000.00
(4)    New buildings & additions      $2,000.00
   to existing buildings and      
   building shells regulated      
   by the OBC      
(5)    Residential additions      $50.00 for structures
                  up to 500 sq. ft.
               $100.00 for structures
                  over 500 sq. ft.
               $200.00 for structures
                  over 1000 sq. ft.
 
(6)    Residential accessory      $50.00 for structures up
   structures including         to 500 sq. ft.
   swimming pools, decks   $100.00 for structures
    and boat houses         over 500 sq. ft
               $200.00 for structures
                  greater than 1000 sq. ft
 
(7)    Interior construction      $50.00 for up to 500 sq. ft.
   for building,         $100.00 for 500 sq. ft
   shells, alterations, or          up to 1,000 s f.
   repairs to existing       $200.00 for structures
   structures, foundation         over 1000 sq. ft.
   only, and demolitions      $500.00 for over 2,000
   of existing structures.      $1000.00 for over 5,000 sq. ft.
 
(8)    For commercial and industrial:    $50.00 for up to 500 sq. ft.,
   Fire protection systems, repairs,    $100.00 over 500 sq. ft
   re-roofing, utilities and          up to 1,000 sq. ft.
   accessory structures         $200.00 for above 1,000 sq. ft.
                  maximum deposit of $500.00
                     for above 2,000 sq. ft.
 
   (b)    Reinspection fees charged as a result of faulty construction or inaccurate information shall be deducted from the construction deposit prior to any refund. The failure of the permit holder to maintain the streets free of debris, mud and/or dirt, may result in the city cleaning or causing to be cleaned the affected area. The cost of said cleaning and administration of same including associated inspection charges for additional erosion control inspections shall be deducted from the deposit.
 
   (c)    Prior to the issuance of any of the following permits, a construction deposit shall be posted in the amount indicated:
      (1)    Electrical replacement permit -   $50 resid.$100 other
      (2)    Plumbing replacement permit -   $50 resid. $100 other
      (3)    HVAC replacement permit -       $50 resid. $100 other
 
   (d)    Reinspection fees incurred as a result of non-conforming work, faulty construction or inaccurate information shall be deducted from the construction deposit prior to any refund.
