(a) Inspection necessary as a consequence of faulty construction, missing inspections or inaccurate information given the Building Division requiring an inspection of the permit record: $20.00
(b) An inspection, not of a routine nature, including but not limited to, violation of erosion control ordinances, work not conforming to approved plans, improper traffic maintenance, or other City of Mentor code violations of work being done under a permit which is necessitated by unusual conditions, or circumstances as determined by the Chief Building Official including repetitive re-inspections to obtain compliance, shall be charged $20.00 each inspection, $40.00 per hour or fraction thereof when the time for inspection exceeds one hour $80.00 per hour or fraction thereof for inspections outside normal work hours.
(c) Zoning permit (for other new structures not requiring building permit plan submittal or review): (see Section 1129.04 of the Zoning Code)
(d) Application for certificate of occupancy for re-occupancy of an existing structure: $75.00
(e) An additional late charge of 10% (ten percent) shall be added onto the cost of all permit fees for work which has been started without a permit, for each 14 days, such permit is not obtained after first being notified to stop work and submit revised plans, or obtain the proper permit for work without a permit.
Additional fees for inspections not covered under a valid permit, such as working without permit approval, violation of erosion control ordinances, violation of stop work orders, improper traffic maintenance, or other City of Mentor code violations requiring immediate enforcement personnel operations, shall be charged at $40.00 per hour or fraction thereof when the time for inspection exceeds one hour, and $60.00 per hour or fraction thereof for inspections outside normal work hours. Such additional fees shall be added to the regular permit fees, for such time spent for each inspector or administrator.
(f) Replacement permits : Flat fees of original permit fees.
Time extensions prior to expiration. Charge $40 for other than residential permit extensions as allowed by code.
$20 for residential permit extensions as allowed by code.
