A fee shall be charged and collected for each permit for building drainage plumbing and water supply and fuel supply piping installations, the amount of each such fee to be determined according to the following:
(a) A $40.00 base fee plus $3.00 per 100 square feet of floor area for new structures and additions or alterations to existing structures. The square footage for plumbing shell permits not indicating complete interior plans shall be calculated at twenty percent (20%) of the overall shell building area in order to cover service, underground sewers and storm leaders.
(b) For minor alterations or repairs not associated with or incidental to a building permit for which the square footage calculation is not applicable, the following fees shall be charged and collected for each item/unit or fraction thereof installed or replaced. A $20.00 base fee for 1, 2, & 3 family dwelling or accessory structures, or a $40.00 base fee for all other installations plus the following:
(1) For each plumbing fixture, or equipment including floor drains, backflow devices, valves and backwater valves, whether connected directly or indirectly to the plumbing drainage system or to the potable water system: $2.00 each
(2) Trough or trench drain, interior or exterior: $10.00 each
(3) Hot water storage tanks or expansion tanks: $10.00 each
(4) Water piping: $10.00 per 100 lineal. ft. or fraction thereof
(5) Gas piping, natural, process or other:
Each service lateral: $50.00
Up to 1” diameter for each 100 lin. ft. $10.00
Over 1” diameter for each 100 lin. ft. $20.00
Each gas or appliance outlet including valve $10.00
(6) Drainage piping, interior storm and sanitary drains:$10.00 each roof drain $10.00 each building storm drain
$10.00 each storm leader
$10.00 each branch drain
$10.00 each foundation storm drain
$10.00 each building drain
$10.00 each stack group
$10.00 each yard drain
(7) Limited area fire suppression system automatic fire sprinkler $20.00 plus $5.00 each head
(8) For each permit to install a lawn sprinkler system:$20.00 plus $10.00 per zone
(9) Each interceptor, or ejector, or grinder: $10.00
(10) Each hydronic heat system, heat exchanger or, refrigeration piping: $20.00
(11) Each underground storage tank, and/or above ground process piping regulated by the fire code: $20.00
(12) Inspection necessary as a consequence of faulty construction or inaccurate information given to the building division requiring an inspection of the permit record:: $20.00 per inspection
Or in lieu of listing of each equipment type, the applicable flat fee plus 0.1% of the total installed costs of all plumbing equipment and associated materials to be installed or altered.
