735.01 PURPOSE.

The purpose of this chapter is to protect health, safety, and general welfare through the regulation of oil and gas wells within the corporate limits of the City of Mentor. The provisions of this chapter are deemed to be the minimum requirements for the drilling, operation, and abandonment of oil and gas wells necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare.
