2-1-1: COMMISSIONS, AUTHORITIES AND BOARDS; MEMBERSHIP:
   A.   Community Development Commission: The commission shall be composed of four (4) citizen members, appointed by the mayor, subject to common council confirmation by simple majority vote, for a term of two (2) years, and one alderperson appointed by the common council annually.    B.   Redevelopment Authority: The redevelopment authority shall consist of seven (7) citizen members appointed by the mayor, subject to common council confirmation by four-fifths (4/5) majority vote, for a term of five (5) years. One of the members of the authority shall be an alderperson and no more than two (2) of the authority shall be officers of the city.
   C.   Housing Authority: The housing authority of the city of Menomonie shall consist of five (5) citizen members appointed by the mayor, subject to common council confirmation by simple majority vote, for a term of five (5) years.
   D.   Airport Commission: The airport commission shall be composed of five (5) citizen members appointed by the mayor, subject to common council confirmation by simple majority vote, for a term of six (6) years pursuant to section 114.14, Wisconsin statutes. (1975 Code Ch. 3 § XVIII)
   E.   Tourism Commission: The tourism commission shall consist of six (6) members who shall be appointed by the mayor subject to common council confirmation. Each member's term shall commence at the organizational meeting of the common council in April. The tourism commission will consist of the following members:
      1.   Two (2) representatives from the local lodging industry. City residency is not a requirement for these members only.
      2.   A common council member.
      3.   One representative from the tourism industry and one at large member.
      4.   The mayor or his or her designee as confirmed by the common council.
      5.   Each member's term will be for a one year period. Each member may serve multiple terms.
      6.   The commission shall meet regularly, and, from among its members, it shall elect a chairperson, vice chairperson and secretary. (Ord. 2016-01, 1-4-2016)
   F.   Sister City Commission: The sister city commission shall be composed of the mayor, or his or her designee as confirmed by the common council, three (3) citizen members, appointed by the mayor, subject to common council confirmation by simple majority vote, for a term of two (2) years and one alderperson appointed by the common council annually.
