8-2-9: SEVERABILITY:

If any provision, paragraph, word, section, or subsection of this chapter is invalidated by any court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions, paragraphs, words, sections, and subsections shall not be affected and shall continue in full force and effect. (1975 Code Ch. 5 § VII)
