7-6-2: DEFINITIONS:
For the purpose of this chapter and/or for enforcement purposes, the definitions contained in section 114.002, Wisconsin statutes, shall apply and the following words and phrases shall have the designated meanings unless a different meaning is expressly provided or the context clearly indicates a different meaning; the singular shall include the plural and the plural shall include the singular:
AIRPORT: The Menomonie Municipal Airport, including the lands, runways, and other facilities owned and used by the city for airport purposes, together with such other lands and facilities as may be used in connection therewith for airport purposes.
CITY: The city of Menomonie.
COMMISSION: The city of Menomonie airport commission, established by the common council pursuant to section 114.14(2), Wisconsin statutes.
FIXED BASE OPERATOR OR FBO: Any person conducting any aeronautical business on the airport.
HANGAR: A building designed or used primarily for the housing or storage of aircraft.
MANAGER: A person employed or designated by the commission in subsection 7-6-3-1C3 of this chapter.
OPERATOR: Any person conducting or sponsoring any event, activity or operation of the Menomonie Municipal Airport which involves the exercising of any special right or privilege at the airport or requires the virtually exclusive use of any area of the airport; however, this definition shall not include general aviation users or other members of the public utilizing the facilities of the airport in a manner consistent with this chapter and with the right of other general aviation users and members of the public to equal and uniform use of public areas of the airport.
OWNER: City of Menomonie.
PERSON: Any individual, firm, partnership, corporation, association or group and all bodies politic or corporate.
VEHICLE: Every device in, upon, or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn. This definition, excluding aircraft, includes, but is not limited to, the following: an automobile, tractor, truck, semitractor, bicycle, snowmobile, motorcycle, moped.
