A. Appointment; Authority: The chief of police shall appoint school crossing guards. Said guards shall be equipped with regulatory devices and are authorized to stop traffic of all kinds upon the streets of the city to assist the safe pedestrian crossing of school students. Said guards shall be subordinate to and shall obey all orders of any police officer of the city.
B. Drivers To Stop: No driver of any vehicle shall fail to stop his vehicle when directed to do so by any school crossing guard, and no driver of any vehicle shall again place such vehicle in motion until directed to do so by said guards. (1975 Code Ch.7 §XX)
