2-9-9: NOTICE TO OWNER:
Whenever the city forester proposes the removal of public tree(s) on boulevards for reasons other than its being a public nuisance, written notice shall be sent to the owner at least two (2) weeks prior to removal. Said notice shall include the time and place at which such contemplated work will be implemented by the city forester and specify which trees are proposed to be removed. If the property owner objects, the owner may apply, within two (2) weeks of the date of the written notice, to the urban forestry board for a hearing, and the notice shall incorporate this provision. After such hearing, the urban forestry board shall direct the city forester to abandon such work or proceed with it as the best interest of the public requires. (Ord. 2023-11, 4-3-2023)
