A. Appointment; Membership: There is hereby created and established an urban forestry board for the city which shall consist of nine (9) members, eight (8) appointed by the mayor with the approval of the common council and one member who shall be a representative of the common council.
B. Terms: The term of the eight (8) persons appointed by the mayor shall be three (3) years, except that the term of three (3) of the members of the first board shall be for only one year and the term of three (3) members of the first board shall be for two (2) years.
C. Forester Ex Officio Member: The city forester will be an ex officio member of the board.
D. Urban Forestry Board will advise the city council, plan commission and city forester on urban forestry matters. (Ord. 2023-11, 4-3-2023)
