The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the health, safety and general welfare of the residents of Mendota Heights by reducing and controlling stormwater, soil erosion and sedimentation within the city of Mendota Heights. It establishes standards and specifications for conservation practices and planning activities which enhance water quality, minimize stormwater pollution, soil erosion, and sediment in waterways, and control the volume of water runoff to receiving streams and other water resources.
This chapter requires that all land disturbance activities, whether requiring a permit under this chapter or otherwise, shall not result in nuisance conditions or threaten public safety, health and welfare. (Ord. 421, 2-3-2009; amd. Ord. 490, 2-16-2016)
