A. Except where other restrictions are imposed as provided in section 6-4-2 of this chapter, no person, firm or corporation shall operate any vehicle or combination of vehicles upon any street, road or highway under the jurisdiction of the City during the period between March 15 and May 1 of each year, where the gross weight of said vehicle together with the load thereon exceeds eight thousand (8,000) pounds per axle.
