6-2-2: GENERAL PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
   A.   Twenty Four Hour Maximum Parking Time: No vehicle shall be parked on any public street for more than twenty four (24) continuous hours. (Ord. 267, 8-1-1989)
   B.   Unattended Vehicles:
      1.   No person shall leave a motor vehicle unattended on any road, street or highway in the City with the engine running.
      2.   No person shall leave a motor vehicle parked unattended in the City on a street, road or highway, in any parking area, or in any public or private driveway, with the key in the ignition or the ignition unlocked.
      3.   Whenever any police officer shall find any such motor vehicle standing in violation of the foregoing provision, such police officer is authorized and directed to remove the keys from such vehicle and retain the same until called for by the owner of said motor vehicle.
   C.   Parking To Interfere With Traffic Prohibited: No automobile or other vehicle shall occupy any road or street in the City so as to interfere with or interrupt the passage of other cars or vehicles.
   D.   Parking On Private Property; Consent Of Owner: No person shall park or leave a motor vehicle standing upon the private property of another person without first receiving consent of the owner of such property.
   E.   Special Parking Areas: Special parking areas may be designated by the City Council from time to time by resolution for truck parking or for taxicab parking, and when so designated, no other vehicles may stand, stop, or park in such areas.
   F.   Repair Of Vehicle On Street 1 : It is unlawful for any person to service, repair, assemble or dismantle any vehicle parked upon a street, or attempt to do so, except to service such vehicle with gasoline or oil or to provide emergency repairs thereon, but in no event for more than six (6) hours.    G.   Display Of Vehicle For Sale: No person shall park a vehicle on any street, other public property or commercially zoned private property, for the purpose of advertising or displaying such vehicle for sale. (Ord. 285, 6-2-1992)
   H.   Nighttime Parking Prohibited: No vehicle shall be parked on any public street between the hours of two o'clock (2:00) A.M. and six o'clock (6:00) A.M., between November 1 and March 31. The property located at 528 Fremont Avenue shall be exempted from this subsection. (Ord. 411, 10-3-2006)
