(A) This chapter shall not impair or diminish the authority of the Building Official or duly authorized representative to employ any alternative action or corrective measure provided for under any housing or building codes as adopted or recognized by the city, where applicable.
(B) This chapter shall not be construed so as to limit the application and enforcement of the city zoning ordinance, certification, or housing and building codes adopted or recognized by the city which touches upon the maintenance of residential dwellings, or the health, safety, and welfare of occupants residing in residential dwelling where applicable.
