The following words, terms, and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
PERMANENT RESIDENCE. A place where the person abides, lodges, or resides for 14 or more consecutive days.
PUBLIC PARK. A publicly owned or operated area used or available for the public's use as a recreational facility and designated by the town as a "park" in the town's comprehensive plan.
PUBLIC SCHOOL. A public school, excluding charter schools, as defined in Section 1000.04(1), Fla. Stat., excluding facilities used exclusively for the education of adults.
SEXUAL VIOLATOR. Any person who has been:
(1) Designated as a "sexual predator" pursuant to Section 775.21, Fla. Stat., and was convicted of the crime leading to designation as a "sexual predator"; or
(2) Is a "sexual offender", as that term is revised from time to time, pursuant to the definitions as set forth in Sections 943.0435, 944.606, or 944.607, Fla. Stat., and was convicted of the crime, that classifies the individual as a sexual offender pursuant to the foregoing statutes.
TEMPORARY EMERGENCY SHELTER. A shelter designated by the town or any other governmental entity to house persons in times prior to, during, or immediately following the threat or occurrence of a disaster.
TEMPORARY RESIDENCE. A place where the person abides, lodges, or resides for a period of seven or more days in the aggregate during any calendar year and which is not the person's permanent address, or a place where the person routinely abides, lodges, or resides for a period of four or more consecutive or nonconsecutive days in any month and which is not the person's permanent residence.
