§ 5.4.48 WELL HEAD PROTECTION AREA.
   (A)   Definition. A WELL HEAD PROTECTION AREA is the surface or subsurface area surrounding wells or well fields that supply the City of Medford public water system through which contaminants are reasonably likely to move forward or reach a particular municipal well.
   (B)   Establishment. Well Head Protection Areas are hereby established consisting of well head protection zones in which land uses are regulated. The Well Head Protection Areas for Well Nos. 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 are shown on the Map. The regulations of this subchapter overlay the regulations for the underlying zoning district designated for the area. Whenever the regulations in the Well Head Protection Area and the underlying zoning district conflict, the more restrictive regulation shall apply.
