The Historic Preservation Commission shall consist of 7 members. Of the membership, if available in the community, 1 shall be a registered or licensed architect; 1 shall be a historian; 1 shall be a licensed real estate broker; 1 shall be an alderperson; 1 shall be a Plan Commission member and 2 shall be citizen members. Each member shall have, to the highest extent practicable, a known interest in historic preservation. The Mayor shall appoint the Commissioners subject to confirmation by the Common Council.
