§ 9.4.33 OUT OF SERVICE HYDRANTS.

Private fire hydrants and water systems placed out of service or made inoperable for maintenance, repair or construction shall be covered with a durable and weather-resistant bag to indicate the hydrant is not usable. The Medford Area Fire Department (715-748-4321) shall be immediately notified when hydrants and/or systems are out of service. Fire hydrants and/or water systems shall be repaired and returned to service within 48 hours.
