Fire hydrants shall be no more than 10 feet and no less than five feet from the curb or edge of the street or fire apparatus access. Fire hydrants located in parking lot islands shall be a minimum of 3.5 feet from the center of the hydrants to the curb. Private fire hydrants shall not be located within 40 feet of any building. An appeal from the administrative enforcement of the prescribed fire protection standards shall be submitted to the City of Medford's Board of Appeals in accordance with the City of Medford Zoning Code.
