All private wells located on any premises which is served by the City public water supply system shall be properly filled within 60 days following receipt of a City notice to abandon said private well. Only those wells for which a well permit has been granted by the Director of Public Works or his/her designee may be exempted from this requirement, subject to conditions of maintenance and operation.
