8-1-13: LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES:
All damages or injury to the lines, meters or other materials of the town on or near the consumer's premises caused by any act or neglect of the consumer, his guests or invitees, shall be repaired by and at the expense of the consumer. The consumer shall pay all costs and expenses, including a reasonable attorney fee, which may arise or accrue to the town if required to repair the damage to the lines, meters or other equipment of the department or collect such costs from the consumer. If testing proves to be accurate, any costs involved will be the water user's responsibility. If the meter is faulty, the cost will be the town's and water bill for time in question will be the minimum monthly charge. Customer will be given forty five (45) days from the time of billing to pursue any objections. (Ord. 09-03, 10-7-2009)
