A. Shade Trees: It shall be unlawful for any person to plant or cause to be planted any tree outside their property along any sidewalk except along a line established by the supervisor of streets. (1976 Code § 16-6-1)
B. Trimming Trees: Any person who is the owner or occupant of any premises situated within the town and abutting any public street or sidewalk in this town, is hereby required to trim and keep trimmed all growing trees on said premises and along and upon the sidewalk in front thereof where the branches of the trees overhang any portion of any street or sidewalk in such manner as to interfere with, obstruct or impede the free use and enjoyment of said street or sidewalk. It shall be unlawful for any owner or occupant of any premises to fail to keep the trees trimmed as provided in this subsection. (1976 Code § 16-6-2)
