§ 32.17 BOARD MEMBERS.
   (A)   Appointment of members. Members of the Code Enforcement Board shall be appointed by the Judge Executive subject to approval by the Fiscal Court.
   (B)   Term of office.
      (1)   Board members will be appointed for a term of three years, however the initial appointments to the Code Enforcement Board shall be as follows:
         (a)   One-third of the membership for one year.
         (b)   One-third of the membership for two years.
         (c)   One-third of the membership for three years.
      (2)   All subsequent appointments shall be for a term of three years. A member may be re-appointed, subject to the approval of the Fiscal Court.
   (C)   Alternate members. The Judge Executive may appoint, subject to the approval of the Fiscal Court, two alternate members to serve in the absence of regular members. Alternate members shall meet all the qualifications and shall be subject to all of the requirements that apply to regular members of the Board.
   (D)   Board vacancy. Any vacancy on the Board shall be filled by the Judge Executive, subject to approval of the Fiscal Court, within 60 days of the vacancy.
   (E)   Removal of Board member. A Board member may be removed from office by the Judge Executive, with Fiscal Court approval, for misconduct inefficient or willful neglect of duty. A Board member may also be removed if absent for three consecutive meetings. Upon exercising its power to remove a member, Fiscal Court shall submit a written statement setting forth the reasons for removal. The member shall have the right to appeal to the McLean Circuit Court.
   (F)   Oath of office. All members of the Board must, before beginning their term, take the oath, prescribed by Section 228 of the Kentucky Constitution. Said oath shall be administered by the Judge Executive or his or her designee.
   (G)   County government. No member of the Board may hold any elected or non-elected office, paid or unpaid, or any other position of employment with the county.
   (H)   There shall be a minimum of one Board member from each of the four districts in the county.
