§ 32.03 ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR.
   (A)   Pursuant to KRS Ch. 198B, the office of the County Electrical Inspector and Deputy County Electrical Inspector are hereby created.
   (B)   The County Electrical Inspector shall inspect the installation of all electrical service equipment, distribution circuits and associated apparatus connected thereto, including, but not limited to: all residential, commercial and industrial facilities whether temporary or permanent; temporary pole for construction purposes and electrical service entrance changes; service equipment for all mobile homes and recreational vehicles; feeder assemblies on all direct-wired mobile homes and recreational vehicles; and outside fixed-wired accessory buildings or structures or additional electrical equipment. No inspection shall be required for:
      (1)   Mobile homes and recreational vehicles as covered by the Federal Housing and Urban Development Administration (HUD) and 815 KAR 25:010; and
      (2)   Farm structures not used in the business of retail trade or as a place of regular employment for ten or more people and not located in a municipality. A FARM is a tract of land (ten acres or more) used principally for the raising of crops and/or livestock, but outside the corporate limits of the cities of Calhoun, Livermore, Island and Sacramento.
      (3)   All main service to mobile homes, recreational vehicles and farm structures shall be inspected.
   (C)   For inspection services rendered by the County Electrical Inspector, the owner and/or builder shall pay directly to the County Electrical Inspector the following fees:
 
Residential
Inspection fees for houses of a minimum of $75. For the fee so charged, the electrical inspector will perform a rough-in inspection. Any final or additional inspection will be at the rate of $25 per inspection.
Commercial
Inspection fees for commercial industrial and public buildings, and all apartment with 3 or more units, shall be 1-1/4% of the total electrical contract, including the electrical equipment furnished by others. This fee shall cover all electrical inspections made and inspections shall be made at least every 30 days.
Miscellaneous inspections
Inspection fees for service and miscellaneous inspections will be at the rate of $75, for the first inspection and $25 for each additional inspection.
 
   (D)   The County Electrical Inspector and deputy shall submit an annual audit to the County Fiscal Court by June of each year.
   (E)   The County Electrical Inspector and deputy, once appointed by the court order, shall serve at the pleasure of the Court.
